Danjel Markaj, 25, and Pjetri Ferdinant, 23, both from Rock Ferry, were sentenced to 12 and 15 months, respectively. They were charged with producing a Class B drug, which is cannabis.
Detective Inspector Andrew Schofield pointed out that these farms can be a real headache for neighbors. Not only do they attract trouble, but they can also be fire hazards. The way these farms are set up often involves messing with electrical wiring, which is super dangerous.
He emphasized that no one wants to live near a potential death trap. Thankfully, local residents often tip off the police about suspicious activities, which helps them take action.
If you notice anything odd, like strange smells or unusual visitors at odd hours, it’s worth reporting. Even small signs can point to something bigger. The police encourage everyone to keep an eye out and report any concerns.
