Mechanical Issue Forces Flight to Return to Dayton Airport
An American Airlines flight had to turn back to Dayton shortly after takeoff due to a mechanical issue, but thankfully, everyone was safe.

The pilot noticed a vibration and decided it was best to return. Luckily, they landed safely, and there were no injuries reported. The flight was just a ‘ferry flight’ with only two crew members on board, so no passengers were affected this time around.
This incident comes right after a SkyWest flight had to divert to Dayton due to smoke in the cockpit. That flight was coming from Charleston, West Virginia, and was headed to Chicago. Both flights managed to land without any issues, which is a relief.
Not much more info is available right now, but it’s definitely been a busy few days for Dayton International Airport!
