Dallas: So, Luka Dončić had to leave the Christmas game against the Timberwolves early. It was a bummer for all the fans watching.
In the second quarter, he was making a move when he suddenly pulled up. You could see he was in pain, and it was tough to watch. He limped off the court, and it looked like he was really upset.
The Mavericks announced at halftime that he was out with a calf injury. It’s a bit concerning since he had a calf strain earlier in the season. He managed to come back from that, but now we’re all hoping it’s not serious.
Before leaving, Luka had 14 points and five rebounds in just 16 minutes. He was shooting well, too, hitting 5-of-9 from the field. It’s a shame because he’s been averaging nearly 29 points a game this season.
The Timberwolves took advantage of his absence and built a solid lead. They really turned up the heat in the second quarter, holding the Mavericks to just 16 points.
