Los Angeles: The Rams have had quite the week. With wildfires causing chaos in the area, their game against the Vikings got moved to Arizona. But they’re handling it like champs, leading 24-3 at halftime.
Coach Sean McVay’s team is really stepping up. Their defense has been all over Sam Darnold, racking up six sacks in just two quarters. The highlight? Ahkello Witherspoon’s strip-sack that rookie Jared Verse scooped up and ran 57 yards for a touchdown.
On the offensive side, the Rams are finally finding their groove after some rough patches in the regular season. They kicked things off strong, scoring a touchdown and a field goal on their first two drives, with three plays going for over 20 yards.
Then, after the Vikings failed on a fourth-and-2, Matthew Stafford threw his second touchdown of the night to tight end Davis Allen, extending the lead to 21 points.
Stafford’s first half stats? He’s 14-of-20 for 154 yards, with two touchdowns and no interceptions. Kyren Williams is also making waves, averaging 7.4 yards per carry.
On the flip side, Darnold is 13-of-16 for 113 yards but has thrown a pick. Justin Jefferson has five catches for 58 yards, while Rams tight end Tyler Higbee is leading with five catches but is doubtful to return due to a chest injury.
With the second half about to kick off, the Vikings are hoping for a spark to turn things around.
