Baltimore: So, Maryland’s Governor Wes Moore just declared a state of emergency. This comes as a big winter storm is rolling in, and they’re expecting a lot of snow.
Moore’s order highlights that roads could get really dangerous, and there might be power outages too. Plus, it’s going to be super cold.
On top of that, Baltimore’s Mayor Brandon Scott also declared a local emergency. He’s making sure the city is ready to handle whatever comes our way.
Scott mentioned that this emergency order will last for 48 hours, but they can change it if things improve or get worse.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for all of Maryland. They’re predicting heavy snow to start early Monday morning.
According to the forecast, we could see anywhere from 5 to 10 inches of snow, and in some areas, it could even hit 16 inches if the conditions are just right.
