Cardiff: So, Martin Clunes is back at it again, this time in a new ITV crime drama called Out There. It dives into the gritty world of rural drug dealing, which is a pretty big deal these days.

In this show, Clunes plays Nathan Williams, a farmer in Wales. His family has worked the land for ages, but life has thrown him a curveball with the loss of his wife, Sabine. Now, he’s just trying to keep it together while raising his teenage son, Johnny.

Things get complicated when Nathan reconnects with an old friend who’s now a local drug dealer. He’s got to figure out how to protect his farm and community from these County Lines drug operations that are creeping into their lives.

ITV has announced that the series will kick off on January 19, airing on ITV1. You can also binge-watch the whole thing on ITVX right after it premieres. Sounds like a good way to spend a Sunday night!

Clunes is no stranger to dramatic roles, and this one looks like it’ll be intense. The show is written by Ed Whitmore, who’s known for some pretty solid crime dramas, so expectations are high.

With the beautiful Welsh countryside as the backdrop, it’s bound to be visually stunning too. Can’t wait to see how Nathan’s story unfolds and how he battles these dark forces threatening his family and home.
