New Orleans: So, Marshon Lattimore was traded to the Commanders on November 5, but he hasn’t played yet. He’s been busy rehabbing a hamstring injury.
He got back to practice just before the Week 13 game against the Titans. Unfortunately, he was listed as doubtful after limited practices and ended up being ruled out. The Commanders had a bye in Week 14, which gave Lattimore more time to work on his recovery.
Coach Dan Quinn shared that last week went well for Lattimore. He’s been doing a lot of top-speed running and hitting all the necessary markers. Quinn is optimistic about Lattimore participating more in practice this week.
With the Commanders set to play in New Orleans on Sunday, it seems like Lattimore has his sights set on making his return then. Quinn mentioned that Lattimore has been hitting all the speeds and change of direction needed, which is a good sign.
Quinn emphasized that they’ve put Lattimore through various tests to ensure he’s ready. He’s been doing a great job hitting all the required markers. They’re hopeful that this week will lead to a full practice and, fingers crossed, a game appearance.
Just to give you some context, the Commanders traded a third-, fourth-, and sixth-round pick in the 2025 draft to the Saints for Lattimore and a fifth-round pick. So, there’s a lot riding on his return!
