Los Angeles: There’s a new documentary series coming out that digs deep into the serious allegations against Marilyn Manson. It’s called “Marilyn Manson: Unmasked,” and it’s set to air on Channel 4 at 10 PM on Tuesday.

This series is split into three parts and features the stories of three women who claim Manson assaulted them. It also includes interviews with former fans and people close to him, giving a fuller picture of how these allegations have affected his career and whether his public persona played a role in enabling such behavior.

Over a dozen women have come forward with accusations against Manson, whose real name is Brian Hugh Warner. The documentary aims to shed light on these troubling claims.

It all started back in February 2018 when actress Charlyne Yi tweeted about Manson’s inappropriate behavior on the set of a show. That same year, Evan Rachel Wood testified before Congress about her own experiences with domestic abuse, without naming Manson at the time.

Fast forward to May 2018, and a police report was filed against him amid the #MeToo movement, but the case was dropped due to lack of evidence. Manson’s attorney dismissed the claims as delusional.

In February 2021, Wood finally named Manson as her abuser, sharing her story on Instagram. This led to several other women coming forward with similar allegations, detailing psychological and physical abuse.

After these claims, Manson was dropped by his record label and talent agency, and he lost several gigs. He responded to the allegations on Instagram, claiming they were distortions of reality and that his relationships were consensual.

As more women shared their experiences, the allegations against him continued to grow. Some described chilling encounters, including one woman who said Manson filmed her without consent.

In the following months, investigations began, and numerous lawsuits were filed against him. Manson’s legal team called the allegations untrue and claimed the women had conspired against him.

In 2023, a settlement was reached with one of his accusers just before a trial was set to begin. Manson also dropped a defamation lawsuit against Wood, agreeing to pay her legal fees.

This documentary is sure to spark conversations about the serious issues surrounding consent and abuse in the entertainment industry. It’s a tough watch, but it’s important to hear these stories.
