Parbhani: So, here’s the scoop. Manoj Jarange, a well-known Maratha quota activist, has been booked for making some pretty harsh comments about Maharashtra minister Dhananjay Munde and the Vanjari community. This all went down during a public rally in Parbhani.

The complaint was filed at the Kingaon police station in Latur district. It was lodged by a supporter of Munde, who felt that Jarange’s remarks were not just offensive but also inflammatory.

Apparently, these comments were made during a rally on January 4, which had a bunch of political figures from both sides present. The rally was actually focused on the murder case of Santosh Deshmukh, a local sarpanch whose case hasn’t seen much action.

According to the police, Jarange’s comments really upset the Vanjari community. They were looking for justice for Deshmukh and wanted a fair investigation, free from any political meddling.

Along with Jarange, other political leaders were also at the rally, and there were calls for Munde to step down. This was all tied to some alleged connections between Munde’s aide and the murder case.

After the complaint, the police registered a non-cognisable offence against Jarange under several sections of the Indian Penal Code, including intentional insult and criminal intimidation.

So, that’s the latest on this situation. It’s definitely heating up in Maharashtra!
