Irlam: A scary situation unfolded when an 11-year-old girl was nearly abducted while walking to school. This happened on Tuesday morning, and now the police are on the hunt for the suspects.
At about 8:30 AM, the girl was approached by a man and a woman on Silver Street. They reportedly tried to grab her, but she managed to escape and run to safety. Thank goodness!
It seems the suspects were driving around in a car and a van before they sped off. The Greater Manchester Police are still looking for them and haven’t made any arrests yet.
According to the police, the man is described as white, around 5 feet 9 inches tall, with short dark hair, and he was wearing blue jeans and a black hoodie. The woman was also white and dressed in leggings and a black hoodie.
As for the vehicles, the car was a black four-door model, and the van was small, white, and looked pretty new with a sliding door.
Local residents are being asked to check their dashcam, CCTV, or doorbell footage from that morning. If anyone saw something odd, they should definitely reach out to the police.
Detective Inspector Justin Bryant reassured the community that they’re doing everything they can to investigate this troubling incident. He’s urging anyone with information or footage to come forward, as it could really help their case.
