Stoke-on-Trent: So, there’s this big manhunt going on for a guy named Daniel Askey. He’s been on the run after skipping out on his sentencing for being part of a drug gang. This dude has a pretty noticeable ‘Joker’ tattoo on his arm, which makes him stand out.
Askey, who’s 33 and from Burslem, pleaded guilty to some serious charges, including conspiracy to supply heroin and cocaine. But last week, he just didn’t show up at court. Now, the police are on his tail.
They’re saying he’s about 6 feet tall, has a medium build, and a pierced left ear. Plus, he’s got that Stoke-on-Trent accent, so if you hear someone talking like that, it might be him!
The police are really keen to find him. They’ve put out a call for anyone who might have seen him or knows where he could be hiding. It’s all part of a larger investigation into a drug supply operation that’s been causing a lot of trouble in the area.
Just recently, seven members of this gang got sentenced to a total of 37 years for their roles in the drug trade. It’s been a big deal, with a lot of people involved in moving drugs from Liverpool to Stoke-on-Trent.
