London: A nine-year-old girl was shot while dining with her family. This happened at Evin Restaurant in Dalston. A gunman on a stolen motorbike fired five shots. Families quickly dove for cover under tables.

The girl is in critical condition and may never speak again. Her family is devastated. The shooting is linked to a gang war involving Izzet Eren, a crime boss who was murdered in Moldova last summer.

Eren was a senior member of the Tottenham Turks gang. It’s believed he was targeting a member of the rival Hackney Bombers gang when the girl was accidentally hit. The two gangs have been in conflict since 2009.

Days after the girl was shot, local residents expressed concerns about gang violence. One man, who was also injured, wished he had been shot instead of the girl. He felt she was innocent and didn’t deserve this.

Beytullah Gunduz, a man linked to the Turkish criminal world, was at the restaurant during the shooting. He left for a short time and returned to find chaos. Three of his friends were shot, and the young girl was critically injured.

Gunduz had been a victim of gang violence before. He expressed deep sorrow for the girl, saying it was heartbreaking to wait for news about her condition. He wished the bullet had hit him instead.
