Law was a true icon, winning two league titles with Manchester United and being part of the team that won the European Cup in 1968. That was a huge moment for English football.

His family released a heartfelt statement, saying, “It is with a heavy heart that we tell you our father Denis Law has sadly passed away.” They thanked everyone for their support during his tough times.

During his 11 years at Old Trafford, Law scored an impressive 237 goals in 404 matches. That puts him third on United’s all-time scoring list, right behind Wayne Rooney and Sir Bobby Charlton.

Known as ‘The King’, he was small but mighty. His fearless style and incredible speed made him a nightmare for defenders. He played for 18 years, including stints at Huddersfield, Manchester City, and Torino.

Law also made 55 appearances for Scotland, scoring 30 goals, which ties him with Kenny Dalglish as the country’s all-time leading scorer.
