Manchester: So, it looks like David Beckham has missed out on a knighthood again. The King’s New Year’s Honours list just dropped, and Beckham wasn’t on it.
He’s had an incredible career, winning six Premier Leagues and a Champions League, plus he even captained England. Back in 2003, he got an OBE, but since then, he’s been waiting for that big title.
Other sports legends like Alex Ferguson and Andy Murray have received knighthoods, but Beckham just keeps getting passed over. It’s a bit surprising, especially with all he’s done.
Beckham has been trying to cozy up to the Royal Family, often seen with Prince William at events. He even queued for over 13 hours to pay his respects to Queen Elizabeth II. He mentioned how important it was to share that moment with everyone.
He said, “We all want to experience something where we celebrate the amazing life of our Queen.” It’s clear he’s got a lot of respect for the monarchy, but it hasn’t helped him snag that knighthood yet.
