Palmer moved to Chelsea for a hefty £42.5 million last summer and has been thriving there. He’s really made a name for himself at Stamford Bridge.
Last season, he scored 25 goals and assisted 15 times. This season, he’s already got 13 goals and six assists under his belt. Not too shabby, right?
Even though he grew up a United fan, Nevin thinks any move to Old Trafford is way off. He believes Palmer is happy where he is and wouldn’t leave Chelsea for United right now.
“Cole Palmer’s support for Manchester United is gone,” Nevin said. He thinks Palmer might consider United later in his career, but not anytime soon.
As for how much it would take to get him away from Chelsea, Nevin estimates it would be over £100 million. That’s a serious price tag!
Palmer is seen as a special talent, and clubs like Barcelona and Real Madrid would likely be interested if they had the chance. Nevin even said he’d pick Palmer over Jude Bellingham, which is a big statement!
In short, it looks like Manchester United will have to wait a while if they want to bring Cole Palmer on board.
