Gloucester: So, there’s this really disturbing case that just wrapped up. A guy named Steven Matthew Jones, 42, got sentenced to over 11 years for sexually abusing a girl who was under 16. It’s just heartbreaking.
He groomed and assaulted the girl multiple times. The court heard he pleaded guilty to 12 different charges, including some pretty serious stuff like inciting a minor to engage in sexual activity. It’s just awful.
Jones was arrested after the police investigated, but he initially denied everything. But the evidence was there, and he ended up getting a hefty sentence of 11 years and eight months. Plus, he’s on the sex offenders’ register for life now.
