Inverness: A 21-year-old guy from Ross-shire got into some serious trouble after he didn’t finish his community service. This was for pulling a 20cm knife during a late-night brawl back in June 2022. Instead of doing the 200 hours of unpaid work he was ordered to, he only managed to complete 56 hours.

Mateusz Dymarski, who lives in Dingwall, was one of three men involved in the incident at Farraline Park bus station. When he showed up in court, his lawyer said he was too busy with his paid job to do the community service. The judge wasn’t too happy about it but decided to hit him with a £2500 fine instead.

Dymarski will pay this off at £100 a month. The court had previously seen CCTV footage of the fight, which started when another guy threw a bin at him. Things got heated, and punches were thrown before Dymarski pulled out the knife. Luckily, no one got hurt, and they ended up shaking hands before the police arrived. It’s a wild story, but it shows how quickly things can escalate.
