Manchester: So, it looks like Manchester United is eyeing up Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford. This guy has been on fire lately, scoring 13 goals and racking up three assists in just 18 matches this season.
Only a couple of players, Salah and Haaland, have outscored him in the Premier League this season. It’s no wonder United is interested! Reports say they’re ready to splash around £41.2 million to bring him on board.
Mbeumo joined Brentford back in 2019 for a record fee of £5.8 million, and now he’s catching the eyes of other clubs like Arsenal and Newcastle too. He usually plays on the right but can fit in various positions, which is a big plus.
Now, if Mbeumo joins United, it might mean Alejandro Garnacho could be on his way out. There’s been buzz about Atletico Madrid wanting him, and it seems he’s not too happy at Old Trafford lately.
Garnacho, who left Atletico for United almost five years ago, might be considering a return. He spent a good chunk of his youth at Atletico, so it could feel like coming home.
There’s been some confusion about his role in the new system under Amorim. He hasn’t started a game in a while, although he did help set up a goal in the recent draw with Liverpool.
If Garnacho does leave, it could help United’s finances since he’s homegrown and would count as pure profit. We’re not sure yet if they’ll let him go, but it’s definitely something to keep an eye on this month or in the summer.
