Police got called in after folks saw him firing shots into the air on Rouse Street, not too far from the hospital. They found him in the hospital’s car park shortly after.
When the officers tried to talk to him, he allegedly pointed a firearm at them, which led to the shooting. Sadly, he didn’t make it and was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
Luckily, no officers or bystanders were hurt during the incident. Now, the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad is looking into what happened, and there will be an independent review too.
