Inverness, Scotland, Stuart Jackson, Michael Agnew, Assault

Inverness: A man who was brutally attacked is speaking out against the lenient sentence given to his assailant. Stuart Jackson, 51, was out celebrating his last night at work when he was assaulted by Michael Agnew, 35.

Stuart was enjoying a night out with friends when Agnew confronted them. He ended up hitting Stuart so hard that he knocked him unconscious, leaving him with a serious head injury. His friends thought he was dead when they saw the blood.

Stuart has no memory of the attack itself. He only remembers waking up in the hospital. He was just trying to enjoy a good time with his colleagues, and then everything changed in an instant.

After the attack, Stuart had to rely on his friends and the police to piece together what happened. He described how Agnew was looking for a fight, and despite Stuart’s attempts to defuse the situation, things escalated quickly.

Now, Stuart is upset about Agnew’s punishment. He received a fine and a community service order, which Stuart feels is far too lenient for what he did. He believes that the sentence sends the wrong message about violence.

Stuart suffered a significant head injury and needed staples to close the wound. Thankfully, doctors confirmed he didn’t have serious brain damage, but he’s still dealing with the aftermath, including memory issues and concussion symptoms.

He feels like he’s not the same person anymore. Simple tasks at work have become challenging, and he’s even had health scares like an epileptic fit since the attack. It’s been a tough road for him.

Stuart is frustrated that Agnew got away with what he did. He believes that the light sentence makes it seem like people can get away with violence without serious consequences. It’s a scary thought, and he just wants to make sure others don’t have to go through what he did.
