Melbourne: A young man has died after a fireworks explosion in Kalkallo on Christmas Day. It’s such a sad situation, especially during the holidays.
Emergency services rushed to the scene on Pittsburgh Rd and Cloverton Blvd around 9:10 PM. They found the 19-year-old with serious injuries.
Sadly, he was pronounced dead right there. The police are still looking into what exactly happened, and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
This incident adds to a string of tragedies this festive season. Just the day before, another man died in a workplace accident in Sydney.
That man, Aaron Greentree, was only 29 and a father of two. He was electrocuted while working on a house. It’s heartbreaking.
And if that wasn’t enough, a teenager was swept off the rocks at North Avoca Beach, and the search for him has turned into a recovery mission.
On top of that, a man got seriously hurt trying to jump off a cliff at a beach party in Bronte. Emergency services had to step in and take him to the hospital.
It’s just been a tough time for many families this Christmas.
