Southport: A man named David Bigley, 45, has been jailed for kissing a 15-year-old girl on the cheek in a B&M store. This happened after she told him her age. Can you believe that?
Bigley approached the girl and her friend, trying to get them to drink with him. When they said no and mentioned they were underage, he still went ahead and put his arm around her. Totally out of line!
Police caught up with him, and he faced charges for sexual assault and having cannabis. He went to court and ended up pleading guilty, getting a 16-week prison sentence. Plus, he’s on the Sexual Offenders Register for seven years now.
Detective Inspector Paul McVeigh spoke out about how unacceptable Bigley’s actions were. He emphasized that such behavior should never happen to anyone, especially young girls. It’s good to see that justice was served quickly, sparing the victim from a lengthy trial.
