Man Attacked with Golf Club After Opening Door to Thug in Mask
A man was assaulted with a golf club after answering his door to a masked attacker in Leicester

Leicester: So, there was this wild incident where a guy opened his door and got whacked with a golf club by some dude in a Halloween mask. Crazy, right? It all went down on Newcombe Road in Braunstone.
Apparently, this 22-year-old named Kye Thomas was the one swinging the club. He knocked on the door, and when the guy opened up, he just went for it. The poor guy tried to block the hits, but then two other guys jumped in and started punching him. His family was home, and they were all freaking out.
They showed CCTV footage in court, and it was just as shocking as you’d imagine. Kye ended up pleading guilty to a bunch of charges, including having an offensive weapon. When the police caught him, he had a bandana with a hard ball but no sign of the golf club.
His lawyer said he was just a kid at the time, sofa-surfing since he was 15, and he thought the guy was a threat to his friend. She claimed it was totally out of character for him. The judge gave him a nine-month sentence, but it’s suspended for 18 months, so he won’t go to jail unless he messes up again.
He also has to pay the victim some cash, do a bunch of community service, and stay away from the victim for four years. Just a wild story all around!
