Tamworth: A man sadly lost his life after emergency crews rushed to help him. It all happened around 1 PM on Monday, January 6, on Upper Gungate.

The West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two land ambulances and an air ambulance when they got reports of a medical emergency involving a man in a car.

When they arrived, he was in critical condition and received advanced life support. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, he couldn’t be saved.

A spokesperson for the ambulance service shared that they were called to the scene at 1:23 PM. They found the man in dire straits and did everything they could, but he was pronounced dead shortly after.

Upper Gungate was closed off, and traffic was diverted, causing some delays in the area. This happened near the Landau Forte Academy QEMS school, which added to the congestion.
