Man City transfer news with Khusanov close, Reis stumbling block and £100m splurge

First up, they’re close to sealing a deal for Abdukodir Khusanov, a defender from Lens. City has had their eye on this 20-year-old for a while now. They decided to speed things up because of their injury issues.

Even though Khusanov missed training due to being sick, it sounds like they’re on the verge of making it official. He could be the first signing for the Blues this month.

Now, about Vitor Reis. He’s on City’s radar, but there’s a bit of a hiccup. Palmeiras is willing to sell him, but they want to keep him for the FIFA Club World Cup. City would prefer to have him join them right away.
