Manchester: Fans of Manchester City and Manchester United are teaming up to tackle the rising ticket prices. They’re reaching out to broadcasters for support in making football more affordable.

With the cost of attending matches skyrocketing, supporters are worried about being priced out. The Football Supporters Association kicked off a campaign earlier this year, urging clubs to stop taking advantage of loyal fans. City fans have joined forces with supporters from Southampton, Bournemouth, and Liverpool to protest together.

This Saturday, City fans will rally with West Ham supporters outside the Etihad Stadium before their match. West Ham fans are feeling the pinch too, especially after losing concession prices. The next day, United and Liverpool fans will momentarily set aside their rivalry to stand up for the same cause.

Clubs are making these pricing decisions partly due to the broadcast revenues they receive. Supporter groups from various Premier League teams, including Liverpool and Everton, are asking TV companies to help keep match costs down. With the BBC based in Salford, City and United fans are particularly eager to get their message across to them.

In a statement, they called on broadcasters to pressure clubs to reconsider their pricing strategies. They believe that many clubs are out of touch with fans and need to listen to their concerns before it’s too late.
