Before this tragedy, Sullivan was already on probation for aggravated assault. He later confessed to the police, claiming he “snapped” after Leagans yelled at him. He kept her body in his apartment for two days before burying her in the backyard.
But then he got nervous and dug her up again. That’s when he decided to chop her up and toss her remains in trash bins around Phoenix. It’s just chilling to think about.
