Milton Keynes: A tragic incident unfolded on Christmas Day when a man was charged with two counts of murder after two women lost their lives.

Jazwell Brown, 49, is also facing charges for attempted murder and possession of a knife. It all started when police were called to a block of flats in Bletchley around 6:30 PM due to reports of a stabbing.

While formal identification is still pending, the victims have been named as Joanne Pearson, 38, and Teohna Grant, 24. Two others, a man in his late 20s and a teenage boy, were seriously injured but are now stable in the hospital.

Brown, who lives on Santa Cruz Avenue, is currently in custody and is set to appear in court soon. The police are doing their best to support the families affected by this awful situation.

On Thursday, a large cordon was set up at the scene, with forensics teams working diligently. Evidence markers and first aid kits were visible, indicating the seriousness of the investigation.

DCI Stuart Brangwin expressed his condolences to the families and reassured the public that police presence would remain high as they continue their investigation. They’re encouraging anyone with questions to reach out to officers on the scene.

Interestingly, a dog that was injured during the incident has survived, which is a small piece of good news amid the tragedy.
