London: A tragic incident has unfolded in south London where a teacher was found dead. Gemma Devonish, 42, was discovered with stab wounds at her home in Carshalton.

Police received a call around 10:30 AM on Thursday about a woman in distress. When they arrived, sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 38-year-old man, who knew Gemma, was arrested early Friday morning. He’s been charged with her murder and is set to appear in court on Monday.

The police are still waiting for the results of a post-mortem examination, but they’ve stated they’re not looking for any other suspects.
