Man Charged with Murder of Teacher Found Stabbed in South London
A man has been charged with the murder of a teacher found stabbed in her home in south London, shocking the local community.

South London: A tragic incident has unfolded where a 42-year-old teacher was found with stab wounds in her home. The police were alerted around 10:30 AM on Thursday after reports of an injured woman in Nutfield Close, Carshalton.
When officers and the London Ambulance Service arrived, they sadly pronounced the woman dead at the scene. She has been identified as Gemma Devonish.
A 38-year-old man, known to Gemma, was arrested early Friday morning and charged with her murder by Saturday. His name is James Madden, and he’s set to appear in Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Authorities are still waiting for the results of a post-mortem examination, but they’ve stated they’re not looking for any other suspects related to her death.
