Man Charged with Aiding Prison Escapee Daniel Khalife Using Illicit Phone

London: So, here’s the scoop. A former inmate at HMP Wandsworth, Adeel Khan, has been charged with helping Daniel Khalife escape from prison. This all went down in September 2023.
Khalife, a former soldier, pulled off a wild escape by hiding under a food truck. Can you believe it? Khan, who was locked up with him, allegedly had a secret phone in prison.
Reports say Khan helped Khalife get some cash after he made his getaway. Scotland Yard announced that Khan is facing charges for assisting an escaped prisoner and for having that phone.
Now, Khan, who lives in Highams Park, is set to appear in court on Tuesday. But he’s not the only one in trouble. Another guy, Imran Chowdhury, has also been charged for helping Khalife out.
Chowdhury supposedly gave Khalife money while he was on the run. He pleaded not guilty last week and is out on bail until his next court date in February.
As for Khalife, he’s waiting to be sentenced for his escape and other serious charges, including spying and terrorism. Last year, a jury found he was trying to pass secrets to Iran, which is pretty intense.
