Sydney: So, there was this wild scene at an under-12 rugby league final recently. It all went down in Erskine Park, and let me tell you, it got pretty messy.
On a Saturday morning in September, things took a turn when a brawl broke out during the game between the Mt Druitt Vikings and Penrith Brothers. The police got called in after reports of the chaos.
They showed up around 9:45 AM, but by then, some of the folks involved had already split. It started with just a couple of spectators arguing, but before you knew it, it turned into a full-blown fight.
Because of the ruckus, the game was called off, and no one got to take home a trophy. Talk about a letdown for the kids!
After a bit of an investigation, the police arrested a 23-year-old man who turned himself in at the Penrith Police Station. He’s been granted conditional bail and is set to appear in court in February.
