Kilmarnock: So, there was this crazy incident where a double-decker bus slammed into a railway bridge. Can you believe it? The roof got completely torn off!
It happened on Culzean Crescent around 2 PM on a Thursday. Eight people ended up in the hospital, but thankfully, no serious injuries were reported.
Police Scotland stepped in and announced that a 34-year-old man has been charged with a road traffic offense related to the crash.
They’re going to send a report to the Procurator Fiscal, which is the legal side of things here.
Oh, and Network Rail had their engineers check out the bridge afterward. Good news: it didn’t suffer any structural damage.
ScotRail also mentioned that train services weren’t affected at all, so that’s a relief!
