Peterborough: So, there was this guy, Vladimer Sivak, who got busted for dealing drugs from a car that was stolen. It all went down at a shopping centre in Cambridgeshire last August.
People in the area noticed something shady and reported it. When the cops showed up, they found Vladimer with two others in the car. Turns out, the vehicle had been swiped from the Queensgate shopping centre just a day earlier.
Inside the car, they discovered a black pot with five wraps of what they suspected was class A drugs. Vladimer, who lives on Dogsthorpe Road, didn’t deny it. He admitted to having crack cocaine and heroin, plus some cash that was considered criminal property.
He went to court and got a 16-month prison sentence, but it’s suspended for two years. He also has to do some rehab activities to get his life back on track.
His buddy, Dane O’Callaghan, wasn’t so lucky. He ended up with a 20-week prison sentence and a driving ban after admitting to stealing the car and other charges. The third person in the car, a 21-year-old woman, didn’t face any charges.
DC Kara Halls from the local police said they’re really focused on tackling drug crime and need the public’s help. If anyone sees something suspicious, they should report it.
For anyone with info about drugs, the police have a dedicated webpage where you can report it online. It’s all about keeping the community safe.
