Man Arrested After Tragic Hit-and-Run Claims Life of Toddler
A man is in custody following a hit-and-run that resulted in the death of a two-year-old boy and injuries to four adults in Smethwick

Smethwick: It’s a heartbreaking situation. A man was arrested after a two-year-old boy lost his life in a hit-and-run involving a stolen Porsche. The crash also left four adults injured.
This tragic incident took place on Dartmouth Road, near Birmingham, just before 11 PM on Saturday night. The police have been on it since then.
The suspect was taken into custody on Monday, suspected of causing death by dangerous driving. They got more info that led to his arrest, and now he’s being questioned.
Sadly, the little boy died in the hospital. Two adults are in serious condition, while two others are stable. It’s just so sad for everyone involved.
Witnesses say the driver of a grey Porsche Cayenne took off after hitting a Toyota Auris that had the boy and the four adults inside. Turns out, the Porsche was reported stolen earlier this month.
Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes expressed his condolences to the boy’s family during this tough time. He’s also asking anyone who saw the crash or has any footage to come forward.
