Telford: A serious accident happened on the A5, and it’s pretty heartbreaking. A 66-year-old man was arrested after a crash that left a man in his 30s dead. The collision involved a heavy goods vehicle and four cars, which is just awful.
This all went down around 7 am on a Monday morning. Emergency services rushed to the scene, and when they got there, they found a passenger in one of the cars getting CPR from bystanders and firefighters. Sadly, he didn’t make it, and they confirmed his death shortly after.
Two other people were seriously hurt, and another had minor injuries. They were all taken to the hospital for care, which is good, but it’s still a tough situation.
The police arrested the 66-year-old on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He’s been bailed while they keep investigating, which is standard procedure.
Now, West Mercia Police are asking anyone who saw what happened to come forward. They’re especially interested in anyone with dash-cam footage. If you have any info, you can reach out to PC Steve Wootton via email or phone.
