Man and woman seriously injured in hospital after street brawl

Aigburth: Early this morning, a street fight broke out, and it got pretty serious. A man and a woman ended up in the hospital with some serious injuries, but thankfully, they’re not life-threatening.

The police were called to Normanton Avenue around 3:30 AM. They found out that about five people were involved in this altercation. It sounds like things escalated quickly.

Two people, a 17-year-old boy and a 36-year-old man from the area, have been arrested on suspicion of assault. They’re currently in custody, and the police are looking into what happened.

After the brawl, the police set up a cordon to gather evidence. They mentioned that the investigation is still in its early stages and are asking anyone who saw anything to come forward.
