Plymouth: A 40-year-old man is heading to court today after getting arrested for two burglaries in Torpoint. His name is Carl Thorpe, and he’s from Plymouth but doesn’t have a fixed address.

The trouble started on January 13 when someone broke into a garage on Lamorna Park. They forced the door open and made off with some bottles of alcohol. Not long after, they tried to break into a house nearby but ran away when a dog started barking.

Thanks to some detective work, Thorpe was arrested and taken to the police station for questioning. He’s been charged with two counts of burglary and also for stealing car keys and a remote from vehicles at Trevol business park in Torpoint.

He’s currently in custody and will be appearing at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court today. It’s a serious situation, and we’ll have to see how it all unfolds.
