Glasgow: A 57-year-old man lost his life in a serious crash with a lorry. It happened on Balshagray Avenue around 1:50 PM on Tuesday.
The man was driving a white Nissan Qashqai when he collided head-on with an HGV lorry. Emergency services rushed to the scene, but sadly, he was pronounced dead right there.
His family has been notified, which is just heartbreaking. The lorry driver, who is 53, was taken to the hospital just to be safe.
Sergeant Christopher Hoggans expressed condolences to the family and mentioned that they’re still investigating how this tragic accident happened.
They’re asking anyone who was in the area or has dash cam footage to come forward. Even the smallest detail could help them out.
After the crash, Balshagray Avenue and parts of Victoria Park Drive were closed off. So, if you’re in the area, it’s best to find another route for now.
