Oldham: A shocking incident unfolded at the Royal Oldham Hospital when a nurse was stabbed late Saturday night. The attack happened in the A&E unit around 11:30 PM.
The nurse, who is in her 50s, was seriously hurt and rushed to the hospital in critical condition. It’s been reported that her injuries could change her life.
Police quickly arrived and arrested a 37-year-old man at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder. Thankfully, they confirmed there’s no ongoing threat to the public.
By Monday, the police had charged Rumon Haque from Royton with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article. He’s set to appear in court soon.
