Man, 19, stabbed in chest as two teenagers arrested

Wavertree: A 19-year-old guy got stabbed in the chest, and it’s pretty serious. This happened earlier today, and the police have already arrested two teenagers in connection with it.

Around 6 PM, the Merseyside Police got a call about the stabbing on Bishopgate Street. The victim was quickly taken to the hospital, but thankfully, his injuries aren’t life-threatening.

Crime Scene Investigators are on the scene, checking things out, and officers are going door-to-door asking questions. They’re also looking at CCTV footage to figure out what went down.

One local resident mentioned how the whole street was blocked off earlier. He said he went to the shops and noticed that part of the road is now open again. It seems like there’s been a lot of trouble lately, and he’s wondering if it’s all connected.

Detective Sergeant George Easterbrook said they’re just starting the investigation and really want to hear from anyone who might know something. The two arrested are 18 and 19 years old, and they’re being questioned by detectives now.
