L&Q has submitted a planning application to improve the building. They want to make it more energy-efficient and give it a fresh look. If Trafford’s planners give the green light, they’ll also replace the windows.
The architects, AEW, say the building is a mix of brick and concrete. They believe it needs better insulation and repairs to its exterior. The goal is to modernize Stretford House while keeping its local charm.
The design team has worked with local residents to come up with these plans. They want to make the building visually appealing and more energy-efficient. New windows will be made of aluminum, which will look sleek and help with shading.
Stretford House is a key landmark in the area, connecting the city to the M60 motorway. Unfortunately, it’s showing its age and needs a serious upgrade to be fit for modern living.
