Aberdeen: The search for twin sisters Eliza and Henrietta Huszti is still going strong after more than a week. The 32-year-olds were last seen walking through the city center, heading towards the River Dee.

They were caught on CCTV at 2:12 AM on January 7, strolling along Market Street near Victoria Bridge. After that, they turned towards the river and headed to the Aberdeen Boat Club.

Police Scotland is focusing their efforts on the river, as there’s no sign that the sisters left the area. They even conducted a special search early this morning.

So far, there’s been no evidence of foul play, but one theory is that they might have accidentally entered the water. That’s why diving teams are searching the river, along with a police helicopter and dog unit.

Officers have been talking to people in the area and doing door-to-door inquiries. The sisters’ family, who are part of a set of triplets, shared a heartfelt statement expressing their worry and asking for privacy during this tough time.

Superintendent David Howieson from Police Scotland said they’re very concerned and are making significant efforts to search the river and nearby areas. They’re also reviewing all available CCTV footage to trace the sisters’ movements.

He urged anyone with information to reach out to the police. If you know anything, please don’t hesitate to contact them at 101, quoting incident number 0735 from January 7.
