Cullompton: Exciting things are happening at Venn Farm! The development has hit a big milestone, reaching the “watertight” stage. That’s a huge deal, both literally and figuratively.
Goonvean Holdings Ltd is now diving into the internal work, which is great news. They even had a topping out ceremony to celebrate this achievement, with some important folks in attendance.
Among the guests were Lord Falmouth, the owner of Goonvean Holdings, and Matthew Gazzard, the managing director. Tom Clarke, the project director, was also there, along with the team from Devon Contractors.
The project is all about building three modern steel-framed industrial units. One of them is designed to be split up for different industrial uses. They’re planning to finish the final concrete pour this week, and the curtain walling is already going up.
During the ceremony, Tom Clarke shared his excitement, saying it’s a big day for the new units at their Engineering Centre of Excellence. He’s looking forward to wrapping up the project, which will provide essential spaces for several businesses in the engineering sector.
Nigel Whelan, the managing director at Devon Contractors, expressed his joy about reaching this milestone. He mentioned how rewarding it is to see the project come together, thanks to the teamwork and dedication of everyone involved.
The Venn Farm project also includes great site infrastructure, plenty of parking, landscaping, and advanced drainage systems. They even have a pond to manage stormwater effectively. Everything is on track for completion by early April 2025.
