Maharashtra: So, guess what? The Maharashtra Transport Minister, Pratap Sarnaik, is heading to Delhi to pitch a cool cable car project. He’s got a meeting lined up with Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways.

The idea is to launch this cable car system in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. It’s part of a bigger plan called the Developed India 2047 initiative. Sarnaik believes this project could really help ease traffic congestion while also keeping the area’s natural beauty intact.

He mentioned that the cable car would work alongside existing transport options like roads and metros. Plus, it aims to protect some amazing cultural spots like the Elephanta Caves and Sanjay Gandhi National Park. After they get the green light, they’ll start working on feasibility studies and development plans.

Sounds like a win-win, right? It could make getting around a lot easier while also preserving the environment. Let’s see how the meeting goes!
