M90 Closed as Fire Crews Tackle Blaze at Perth Recycling Plant

Firefighters are battling a significant blaze at a recycling plant in Perth, causing major traffic disruptions on the M90

Perth: The M90 is closed right now because of a fire at a recycling center. Traffic is being rerouted, so it’s a bit of a mess out there.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service is on the scene, working hard to get the fire under control. They’re asking folks to steer clear of the area and keep their windows shut to avoid the smoke.

Also, the Friarton Bridge is closed in both directions, which is adding to the traffic chaos. If you’re driving, expect some delays and plan for longer travel times.

For those heading north, you’ll need to exit at Junction 10 and follow a pretty long detour through Broxden Roundabout. It’s a bit of a hassle, but safety first!

And if you’re going south, you’ll exit at Junction 11 and take a different route through Dundee Road. Just keep an eye out for the signs to help you navigate.

Thanks for your patience, everyone. Stay safe out there!
