Sedgemoor: An employee at Roadchef’s Sedgemoor Motorway Service Area has just hit a big milestone. Philippa Wood has been recognized for her amazing 25 years of service. That’s quite a journey!

Mark Fox, the CEO of Roadchef, presented her with a long service award. Can you believe she started her career back on October 11, 1999? That was the same year the euro came into play!

It was also the year The Matrix hit theaters, and Christina Aguilera’s “Genie in a Bottle” was topping the charts. Philippa kicked things off as a team member at Wimpy and worked her way up to Unit Manager.

When Wimpy closed, she switched over to the Cornish Bakery and has been a steady presence at Sedgemoor ever since. Outside of work, Philippa loves arts and crafts, especially glass drawing.

Karolina Truskauskaite, the Site Director, praised Philippa’s dedication, saying it’s inspiring. She really deserves this recognition, and it’s great to see Roadchef valuing their staff.

Karolina added that Philippa is a key part of the Sedgemoor team and is excited to see her continue making a positive impact on both colleagues and travelers.

Mark Fox also expressed pride in having Philippa on the team. He emphasized how grateful they are for her contributions over the years. Her commitment to excellent customer service truly makes her a valued member of the Roadchef family.
