Worcester: Early in the morning, officers from the Operational Policing Unit pulled over a grey BMW X3 near Junction 6 of the M5. It was around 2:10 AM, and they were acting on some solid intel.

Not long after, they stopped another car, a grey BMW M3, at Junction 5. Turns out, both vehicles had cannabis inside, along with a hefty amount of cash and some mobile phones. In total, eight men were taken into custody.

Four of those men, aged between 30 and 39, were suspected of dealing drugs and were taken to Worcester Police Station. They’re still being questioned by the police.

Meanwhile, the other four men, aged 23 to 29, were arrested on similar charges and sent to Hereford Police Station. One of them, a 25-year-old, even got hit with an additional charge for drug and drink driving.

Detective Inspector Dave Knight from South Worcestershire CID said it was a big win for the OPU. He emphasized that they won’t stand for drug dealing in the area and will always act on tips to disrupt these criminal activities.
