Basingstoke: This week, drivers in Basingstoke and Deane need to be aware of 10 road closures on the National Highways network. Some of these are likely to cause moderate delays, so plan ahead.

Three closures are expected to hold up traffic for about 10 to 30 minutes. The latest updates from National Highways show that four closures are already in effect and will continue this week.

For instance, the A303 will be closed from 8 PM on December 9, 2024, to 6 AM on January 29, 2025, due to resurfacing work. Expect moderate delays there.

Also, the M3 will have some lane closures for maintenance from 8 PM on January 2 to 6 AM on February 22, but those delays should be slight, under 10 minutes.

Looking ahead, six more closures will kick off in the next two weeks. The A303 will close again from 8 PM on January 21 to 6 AM on January 25 for tree work, which could cause moderate delays.

Additionally, the A34 will have lane closures for barrier work on January 21 and 22, with slight delays expected. More maintenance work is scheduled for January 22 and 23, so keep that in mind.

National Highways is in charge of the major roads, so smaller road closures won’t be listed in their updates. Stay safe out there!
