Watford: So, there was quite a scene on the M1 yesterday. A body was found in the undergrowth, which led to the motorway being shut down. It all kicked off around 3 PM, right between junctions five and six.
Police showed up and discovered a man’s body. They’re still trying to figure out what happened, as the cause of death is still “unexplained.” This caused a bit of a mess for drivers, especially during rush hour.
By about 6:30 PM, they managed to reopen the southbound side, and the northbound side followed suit just after 10 PM. But, heads up, one lane is still closed today.
Traffic seems to be moving okay, though, according to the traffic analysts. A spokesperson from Hertfordshire Police mentioned they’re still on the case, trying to piece together what led to this tragic situation.
They also thanked drivers for their patience while they sorted everything out. It’s a tough situation, and hopefully, they’ll get to the bottom of it soon.
